1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bend Buzz ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bend Buzz is a local events listing platform serving Bend, Oregon and the surrounding area. We allow event organizers to submit, manage, and promote events, and allow members of the public to discover those events.

3. Organizer Accounts

To submit events you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to update it as needed.

4. Event Submissions

By submitting an event you represent that:

• You have the right to list and promote the event.
• All information provided is accurate and not misleading.
• The event does not violate any applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to decline, remove, or edit any submission at our discretion, including submissions that contain offensive, misleading, or inappropriate content.

5. Promotion and Payments

Paid promotion options (Featured and Promoted listings) are processed securely via Stripe. All charges are in USD. Promotion fees are non-refundable once a promotion is live. If an event is cancelled or significantly changed after promotion has begun, please contact us and we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit (event descriptions, photos, etc.). By submitting content you grant Bend Buzz a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and promote that content in connection with the Service, including in our newsletter and social media channels.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading event information.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications.
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service without permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that event information is always accurate, complete, or up to date. Attendance at any listed event is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bend Buzz and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Deschutes County, Oregon.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
